Hi! I'm Matteo
I am a Veterinary physician.
I define myself as a 3D specialist.

I founded a research project in order to find colleagues and institutions interested in the research and the employment of3D printing in the field of Diagnostic Imaging: 3D Veterinary Printing (www.3dvet.eu).
I worked as a Veterinary Physician in General Clinical Practice with the desire to become a Radiologist.
After a few years, I had the opportunity to employ my expertise and reaserch, persuing the application of 3D technologies to the Veterinary field of Science through PlayVet (www.playvet.it).

Through this experience I developed new skills in business planning and management as head of the Veterinary sector.

I like studying, working in a team, solving problems and being helpful.

MSD COMMUNITY AWARD
18th November 2018
The 3D VET project is the winner of the MSD Animal Health Community Award competition, organized by MSD Animal Health Italia, for the "Care of Companion Animals" category. The judging commission of the MSD Animal Health Community Award call, made up of 3 technical jurors and 2 institutional representatives, decided to award 3D Veterinary Printing "for its ability to innovate animal surgery, both in pre-surgery planning and by creating prosthesis models based on the most innovative production and printing techniques. This project, in fact, although still experimental, is at the level of other ongoing international experiences, represents a true innovation in veterinary technique and can enrich the technical background of the veterinary doctor" .

INTERVIEWS & CONTENT
3D Heals
18th March 2021
"I had a lot of fun speaking to Matteo Zanfabro (Instagram account: 3dvet.printing and playvet3d) because of many good reasons. Not only we both love what 3D printing can do for healthcare but also share a passion for medical imaging, although our clients are very different. In this episode, we talked a little about his early journey into using 3D printing for veterinary medicine, and some unique challenges in adopting 3D printing for animals. There is certainly a lot for human doctors and veterinarians to learn from each others’ experiences. Of course, Dr. Zanfabro brought us a few interesting cases he has 3D printed."
